Honey – Nature’s Sweet Superfood

Honey is a nutritious whole food used since ancient times in many cultures across the world for its healing, nutritional and therapeutic properties. Honey contains all the nutrients necessary to sustain life – the life of the hardest working living thing – the honey bee.

Honey is a good healthy alternative to refined sugar and other sweeteners not just for energy and taste, but also its many nutrients - Honey also has a lower glycemic index than sugar

Good honey contains many natural nutrients including bee pollen, active enzymes, beewax, propolis, antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

Which honey is better?

Raw (unprocessed or less processed) honey containing more goodness from the bee hive is better

There are many types of honey resulting from the wide range of flower/plant species and the bees providing us with a wide choice of exquisite flavor to enjoy and stay healthier

Raw honey is usually harvested from matured honey (after capping of the honeycomb cells by the bees in the hive) with naturally low moisture and without the need to be further processed before packaging. Many mass-produced honey are collected from immatured honey (before capping) which requires further post-harvest processing to remove the excess water content that often involves heating up the honey and damaging its nutrients and flavor.
